Testimonials
“Andrew’s presentation was really motivating, challenging and different. If we as lawyers applied only some of his ideas and attitudes in our professional lives we’d be happier in our work, and given the psychological risks within our profession, that is worth striving for.”
Dr Colin James Chair, CLE Committee, Newcastle Regional Law Society
“Thanks for arranging the [3 day Emerging Leaders] course with Andrew, it was bloody fantastic! Best course arranged by ComSuper I have ever been to! I would highly recommend it to anyone.
I bought his CD and listened to it on the way to work and it’s almost good as him being there in real life.”
Rudi Rajic, Manager – Pensions Administration Section, ComSuper
“ComSuper really enjoyed your presentation on the seven tips to be an Inspirational Leader. As a presenter you were engaging and very enthusiastic about the topic.
When walking around the office we were able to tell the staff who attended your presentation as they were all smiling and inspired by you, many staff have also spoken about the tips they have taking on board from the presentation.
Thank you for inspiring ComSuper!!”
Linda Brennan, Manager – Learning & Development, ComSuper
“Andrew Hughes is an excellent facilitator, one of the best in my opinion.”
Heather Kay, Manager, Business Continuity Audit & Risk, ComSuper
“Overwhelmingly the feedback about [Andrew’s] facilitation has been fantastic. I don’t think I have ever before seen a facilitator with a rating no lower than 9 out of 10!… It was a combination of your professionalism, the experience you brought from your own experience as a senior leader … and importantly the fun and engagement you achieved from all participants, that absolutely made the Program such a success.”

Keynote Speaking
“As President of the Maitland Chamber of Commerce, I Chair a monthly breakfast meeting for around 70 to 100 of our members. Part of the challenge of the group that I lead is to find relevant, and engaging speakers.
In my Real Job, I Chair TEC 48, which is a group of CEOs who meet for a day once a month, to share challenges and help each other through these challenges, and to also listen to a guest speaker on relevant business topics. There are around 100 TEC groups around Australia and New Zealand.
Last month, at the Chamber, our guest speaker was Andrew Hughes of Dare2XL. I had not heard Andrew present before so came with no expectations. What the group got was an engaging, challenging, at times humorous presentation.
Andrew’s style quickly overcame the early morning lethargy that lesser quality speakers cannot and have not overcome. Have been part of the Chamber Executive for 7 years, and a member of the Chamber for over 15 years, never have I seen so many people taking notes.
At the end of his presentation, the applause was genuine, and at the end of the meeting, the member stayed back and mingled and talked about Andrew’s presentation longer that normal.
As a result of this presentation, I have recommended to TEC Australia that we engage Andrew as one of panel of presenters, because in my opinion he was a good as, if not better that the ones I have experienced in TEC.
The danger in providing a testimonial is that it can last in perpetuity, but in this case I have no hesitation in singing the praises of Andrew.”
Bob Kerr GAICD – Non Executive Director and Coach to CEOs, Chair of TEC 48
“Andrew was a fantastic speaker! Both the content and the delivery of his presentation was superb. He mixed in interesting stories with useful pictures and slides, keeping listeners intrigued, entertained and informed. His passion for personal development really shone through. A pleasure to have as a speaker and I hope to have the opportunity to hear him speak again.”
Francis Wong, AIESEC UNSW
“Andrew is a fantastic motivational speaker, who captures the entire audiences’ attention when making a presentation. He manages to engage and include all members of the audience in his enthusiasm for the topic. Andrew has the ability to draw upon his leadership experience and provide facts and statistics when delivering his topic. I highly recommend Andrew as a speaker for any motiviational/leadership presentations.”

Coaching
“Andrew is an inspirational coach who has changed the way I look at life. Andrew is always 100% present for me and I know that I can bring anything to the table during our sessions. He is a caring, intuitive coach who walks his talk and uses the tools and techniques in his own life. He shares his personal experiences with me which gives me confidence in my own ability to makes the changes I want to in my life.
After a coaching session with Andrew, I feel as though I can take on the world. He opens my mind to so many possibilities I have never seen and allows me to move forward from areas of my life that I have felt stuck in for years. Without him, I would have stayed stuck forever.
Thanks to Andrew, I have smashed through from my fear of going after what I want in life and now look forward to challenges that I used to hide from. Coaching with Andrew has empowered me in both my personal and professional life and improved my confidence and knowledge of who I am. As a result of our sessions together, my life has changed and I am eternally grateful for having Andrew as my coach.”
Rob Mason, Inspire Yourself Coaching
“Andrew is a charismatic and inspirational leader. He was manager of the very large AGS Litigation Practice Group in Canberra when I first worked for him. Andrew then moved on to a National Manager role with responsibility for strategic client relationships. Andrew was much loved by AGS employees and clients, not just because of his exceptional leadership skills but because of his high levels of personal integrity.
He is clear, yet sensitive, when providing feedback so people feel valued and also know if there are issues they need to address. I think what sets him apart from ‘mere managers’ is that he truly cares for his team and his clients and is attuned to their needs. These are the factors which I consider have captured the imagination of his staff and have directly led to increased productivity and morale. Last but by no means the least, Andrew has a very robust sense of humour which no doubt helps him get the best out of his staff because people really enjoy working with him.”
Elizabeth Forbes, MLA, AGS
